Svendborg Brakes sees this new partnership with Sintech as the best path forward.
As part of our strategy to grow our brake business and increase compliance to the B-BBEE policy of the South African government, we have partnered with Sintech located in Boksburg, for the sale and distribution of Svendborg Brakes products into South African market.
Sintech is an approved service center for clutches, brakes, gearboxes and torque drives and since 2000, and they are an approved service center for Altra Industrial Motion products including Twiflex brakes, Industrial Clutch and Wichita Clutch.
Besides the synergy that already exists with Sintech’s brake expertise and their Altra Industrial Motion relationships, we expect to improve our customer service as they are a B-BBEE Level 1 and ISO 9001:2015 approved facility.
Sintech presently employs 47 people across two facilities in Johannesburg and Durban that offer engineering, service and sales.
Sintech will have a complete inventory of Svendborg Brakes by end of June 2020, but we are contacting our customers now to ensure a smooth transition. Svendborg Brakes sees this new partnership with Sintech as the best path forward in order to be able to best service our customers in relation to repair and field service, as well as new project sales.
